analysis The utilisation rate of textiles reached the same
level as the previous two years at 83%. Due to this year’s large
order intake and the need to speed up production, we’ve not
succeeded in achieving the hoped-for increase in our textile
utilisation from the previous year. We’ve now added measures
in which we extend the calculation time in the software we use
in order to achieve the best possible optimisation. During the
next financial year, we’ll be installing a new cutting machine
with associated software, and we’ve started a joint project
with our machine supplier to cut and optimise even more
efficiently. In addition to the precision of the machines, there
are two main factors that affect the utilisation rate: which pat-
terns the fabric is to be cut out in and what the day’s mix looks
like. In other words, how many equivalent products are to be
manufactured in accordance with our client order-controlled
system. Leftover waste fabric is reused in our Re:fill padding
material or sent for recycling.
